This hand-pulled lithograph is part of a series of four lithographs in the Upper Missouri River Suite. Cottonwood on The Missouri, The Bishops and Floating the Missouri are the other three images in the suite. Monte was inspired to paint this series through the memory of fishing trips on the Missouri river with his father as a young boy.
