This painting is a depiction of "Cezanne's mountain" from the Travels in France paintings. This limestone mountain in Provence with its many sharp angles was painted over 60 times by Paul Cezanne during his lifetime. This painting has been selected for the Missoula Art Museum's 41st Art Auction.
