This piece was commissioned by the Salish Point Committee to celebrate this beautiful lake and to raise money to repair damaged docks in the area. In this piece Monte has showcased his exceptional landscape talents-creating blue/green waters out of thousands of other colors, with majestic pines framing a pastel pink, green and blue distance. 

In 2015 a book written by Steve Smith and Wayne Schile titled Flathead Lake: On My Mind was published, featuring Flathead Lake View Through The Narrows as its cover art.
