View from the Sound of Music Trail is an acrylic on paper painting created by Monte Dolack in 2022 as he was preparing to work on a much larger painting of the Missoula Valley.
According to Dolack "The Sound of Music Trail is the name of a much beloved hiking area on the flanks of Mount Jumbo overlooking the Missoula Valley in western Montana. I am continually inspired by the beauty of this view-especially when dramatic weather is arriving."
The painting is 7.5" x 5" and was archivally matted and framed by the artist in his workshop-the frame is a warm silver and golden tone over wood and measures 17.5" x 15"
