This painting was done for a publishing company that Monte Dolack started called
Released Imagination. It was later released as a fine art poster and exhibited at the Art Expo in New York in 1983. It features a portrait of John Lennon with a geisha (a reference to Yoko Ono) in the background and cranes flying above crashing waves. The style of the piece is very reminiscent of the Japanese woodblock prints that inspired so many artists, beginning in the mid 19th century.
