This limited edition archival digital print portrays the Aurora Borealis with a shooting star playing across the luminous night sky. This image was inspired by a night canoeing adventure on Holland Lake in the Swan Valley of western Montana.
Monte wrote: "There are times when I have an intense longing for the high Montana lakes and illuminated sky. I made this painting as a meditation of remembrance of deeply cherished, wild and mysterious Montana spaces.
The title comes from a line in William Butler Yeat's poem "Lake Isle of Innisfree" which was written while the poet was in London and musing about his home in the lake country of Western Ireland.
