This acrylic on panel original painting was created in the summer of 2014.
"Setting out with Mary Beth and our two dogs Dora and Stella I started this painting on May 23rd, my birthday. The view is looking north across Brown's Lake toward the Bob Marshall Wilderness, in Western Montana's Ovando Valley. Working for 3 hours in this fabulous location we then had a nice picnic. I finished it later through multiple sessions in my studio trying not to loose the spontaneous qualities that came from the time spent at the location. A nice birthday."
