This acrylic on canvas painting of the Firehole Valley in Yellowstone National Park is part of a private collection. This 2022 painting is 48 x 72 inches and celebrates the restoration of the wolves to Yellowstone National Park.
Monte Dolack's original Yellowstone Wolves painting and posters were commissioned in 1989 by Defenders of Wildlife in an effort to restore the gray wolf to Yellowstone National Park.
This image was also used by the Patagonia Company as their 1989 catalog cover. The Yellowstone Wolves poster was featured in 2011 at the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland, along with 24 other posters by Monte Dolack to celebrate the International Year of the Forest.
